After you finish you Ironman race, what next? For about half the finishers, typically the next concern is registering for next year's race, and sometimes that has meant lining up way too early for anyone, let alone athletes who just finished an Ironman triathlon.
We've been through the dreaded morning-after process more than two dozen times, and finally, race organizers have improved things considerably. See below:
Entry Procedure for NAS Full-Distance Events: Arizona, Lake Placid, Wisconsin, Florida, Coeur d'Alene
Current Year Athlete Registration
- Athletes registered for the current year’s event can register for the following year’s event on the Saturday before the race.
- Athletes can only register themselves and must have their athlete wristband on.
- Registration will be from 9-11 AM. This timeframe will be for athletes only, so they don’t have to worry about the next year’s registration or stand in line after having raced.
- General registration will be the morning after the event. Individuals may only register themselves; they will not be allowed to register a friend at any NAS event. You must have a photo ID to register.
