Chicago Triathlon Swim Course Map: Sprint and International Distance

The swim is in Monroe Street Harbor. The start line for all races is 925 Yards south of the Chicago Yacht Club.

The swim finish line for all races is 100 yards south of the Chicago Yacht Club.  The sprint event swimmers head directly north parallel with the lake wall and exit 100 yrds before the Yacht Club.

The International distance swimmers begin by swimming south for the first 380 yards and then turn back north for the remainder of the leg.  The pro competitors use the international course.

Chicago Marathon Average Finish Times

In 2010, more than 36,000 runners finished the Chicago Marathon with an average time of 4:43. Because of the  heat, this average time is slower than most average times since 2002.  Also, see Chicago Marathon Number of Finishers by Age Group.
