- Conditions: heavy chop in the water led to a shortening of the swim to a single 1.9km loop, and high winds made for a challenging 112-mile bike ride
- Finishers: 1,850 w/2% DNS and 5% DNF
- Average Finish Time: 11:09 with a 1.2 mile swim, compared to 11:32 in 2012, with the complete swim
- Swim: the revised 1.9km course led to surprisingly fast swim times, averaging 32 minutes, making it faster than 1/2 last year's 3.8km swim (2013 = 44% of 2012)
- Bike: cyclists braved high winds on the bike course, averaging 5:54 compared to 5:43 in 2012
- Run: on a fast marathon course, many pros broke the 3-hour marathon mark, and the field averaged 4:32, compared to 4:23 in 2012
