Kansas Half Ironman 70.3 Results Analysis

It seems that the 2011 edition of the Kansas half ironman was a little bit tougher than in 2010, with an average finish time of 5:58 vs. 5:52. Still, Kansas remains ranked as one of the fastest courses in RunTri's Toughest/Easiest Half Ironman events.

Eagleman Half Ironman Results Analysis

The Eagleman half ironman distance triathlon retains its rank among the top 1/3 of RunTri's Toughest Half Ironman triathlons. The average time in the 2011 event was 6:04 compared to 6:13 in 2010. The same degree of improvement was seen in most age groups.

Results of the 2011 Boise Half Ironman 70.3, initially ranked among our toughest races, were dramatically faster, with an average finish time of 5:58, compared to 6:21 in 2010.  The improvements were equally dramatic in nearly every age group. 

What explains the difference? Conditions -- harsh in 2010, perfect in 2011? Regardless, these results will pull Boise from the top 5 toughest half ironman list when we update the rankings.
